Hello there! I'm Jenny, the founder and designer behind Northern Nomad Studio. I grew up in British Columbia, traveling between Alaska, the Yukon and down through Wyoming always stopping at the National Parks along the way. I feel the most at home in the mountains and the trees, around rocks, plants and the ocean.
Northern Nomad Studio gets its name from these travels and the wilderness that inspires me. My designs reflect that natural influence, to keep a piece of it always with me. I hope to share that with others who are in awe of the beauty, color and textures of the natural world.
I started working with enamel in autumn of 2022. Immediately I fell in love with the way glass moves on copper as it is torch fired. There are many enameling techniques that date back to the 13th century BC. I’m mom to 5 kiddos and also run an adventure guiding company with my hubby which doesn’t leave me with much time to create but I’m learning and growing with this medium every chance I get!
